Marching on

Well, I had a really great entry all written out on a notepad. Those of you who know me have already guessed that a) that was a lie; or b) I lost the notepad. Well you'll never know, will you? Instead you'll have to suffer through this half-hearted attempt at keeping a twice-monthly entry schedule.

Actually, screw it. You wanna know what I've been doing for the past couple of weeks? This.

Haha, just kidding Mom and support group buddies!

The last couple of weeks have actually been, dare I say, wholesome? It all started with a trip to the Hopital Albert Schweitzer, a large medical complex located on an old banana (I think) plantation. It's one of the more surreal places I have visited and certainly the only one I know of where you can be taking a dip in a 1920s-era swimming pool one minute and being led into an overflowing morgue the next. Well, maybe in Florida...

After that came a three-day meeting at the former Club Med resort, recently reopened as the Club Indigo. As you can see, work was hellish and the setting dreadful.

But the big news to come of the past few days for me is the announcement of my spring travel plans. The highlights are that I will be in DC on April 9-16, in British Guyana on April 16-25, in South Florida on May 11-15, in Southern California on May 16-21 (or thereabouts) and at Bonnaroo on June 14-17. Take that, college Spring Breakers! I keeps it real. And I'm old enough to be your weird uncle.

So that's the latest from down here. I'll try to do a day-in-the-life entry one of these days, 'cause I know how fascinated you all are with my continued existence.

'laterz.
